Terms & Conditions

1.  Do It Center DIY Challenge is conducted by Do It Center Dominica

2.  Employees of Do It Center and Trading International Group companies are not eligible to participate.

3.  Participants must be resident in Dominica at the time of the Challenge.

4.  Do It Center DIY Challenge consists of two rounds:

• • Round 1A: Prospective participants submit their Upcycled Pallet Creations to Do It Center via email or social media to enter the challenge between August 28 to September 26, 2023. 
  • Entries must be submitted by 3pm on September 26, 2023.
    • The following details must be included with the submission: 
      • Full Name, Address, Email Address (optional), Telephone Number (required), Social Media handles (Facebook and/or Instagram, optional). 
      • Video (1 minute clip) and/or photos highlighting the creation process must accompany the photo of the completed project.
  • The top ten (10) semi-finalists will be chosen by a Do It Center Panel and those creations will be uploaded to Challenge Webpage for public voting. 
  • Round 1B: From October 1 to 30, 2023 the semi-finalist projects will be on Challenge Website for public voting.
    • Participants are encouraged to invite their friends and family to vote for their project by sharing the links to their social media channels. 
    • Do It Center will also share on our social media channels(FB & IG: DoItCenterDominica)
  • The three (3) projects with the most votes will advance to the live finals (Round 2).
  • Round 2: In the final round, finalists are invited to Do It Center to complete the final project. Participants must follow the instructions and complete the challenge creatively and correctly.
    • Do It Center will have a Panel who will review the completed projects and announce which finalist emerges the winner of the “Do It Center DIY Challenge 2023”.

5.  Only 1 attempt of the final project is accepted during the live challenge.

6.  The finalists of the Do It Center DIY Challenge are eligible to win the following prizes.

• • Grand Prize: XCD $2000 voucher plus the tools used in the challenge.
  • First Runner Up: XCD $1000 voucher (plus one tool)
  • Second Runner Up: XCD $500 voucher (plus one tool)

7.  The prizes will not be paid out in cash.

8.  The judges and voting decisions are final. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that we suspect of vote rigging or vote buying.

9.  By participating in the preliminary round of Do It Center DIY Challenge you agree that your data and projects created can be used for promotional purposes with unlimited usage in perpetuity. You can withdraw this consent at any time by making this known to marketing@doitcenterdominica.com.  If consent is withdrawn, participation in the Challenge is immediately excluded.

10.  Until 1 year after the announcement of the Do It Center DIY Challenge 2023 on November 18, 2023, the finalists will, at the request of Do It Center, cooperate in promotional activities related to the Challenge. This includes publicity in words and images via all media, such as out of home, social media, radio and internet.

11.  Do It Center reserves the right to end the competition early, change locations and / or final assignments. Early termination will be announced publicly.

12.  By participating in this competition, the persons concerned agree to these terms and conditions of the Do It Center DIY Challenge.

13.  Do It Center is not liable for misuse of the photo material by third parties (on social media or other platform) and can therefore not be held liable for this.

14.  The general conditions for participation in this competition are shown on www.tradinginternationalgroup.com/dicdiychallenge/ and can be requested via email at marketing@doitcenterdominica.com.

15.  If the general conditions do not provide for certain situations, Do It Center will decide. The participant must adhere to that decision.

16.  Local laws apply to these terms and conditions.
